Network security threats and data vulnerabilities are constantly evolving. As soon as you address the latest virus, network exposure or application hole, the next one appears forcing you to repeat the process. This reactive approach to security management is a common practice but it’s not your only option, and certainly not the wisest. Join us for a complimentary 2-track seminar that illustrates how to build predictive risk management strategies and practices into your current security and data protection programs.
Explore how to stay ahead of threats from end to end, from the remote endpoint to the network core, using methodologies that respond to both business needs and compliance demands. Our independent experts sift through the noise to bring you proven techniques for locking down your network security and maintaining your data’s integrity throughout its entire life cycle.
Admission is FREE but seating is limited. Apply today.
***Receive up to 3 CPE credits***
All CISSPs/SSCPs receive 1 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit from (ISC)2 for each independent expert session attended during the day’s data protection and network security tracks.
Opening Keynote: Leveraging network and endpoint protection as part of your proactive approach to minimizing risk in 2011
Taking a big picture approach to information security is the only realistic way to minimize business risks; especially moving forward as your information systems become more complex. Our opening keynote details the current state of security and shares ideas you can use to ensure the time, effort and money you invest in 2011 and beyond is put to good use.
Track 1: Embedding Security into the Network—Building Defense in Depth
Network security strategy is not designed around one or two standalone technologies but rather a combination of many different systems working in conjunction across all levels of your business environment. From the external perimeter to your Web presence to desktops and all the way out to mobile devices, ensuring that the proper technical and operational controls are in place is not just a best practice but essential for keeping your network secure. This track features the most critical security weaknesses our independent experts have uncovered while performing network security assessments. Find realistic solutions for mitigating these vulnerabilities and discover how to minimize the risks they represent to your business.
Click on the session titles below for full descriptions:
- Session 1: Securing your Presence at the Perimeter: Contrary to Popular Belief, you do still have a Network Perimeter
- Session 2: Locking Down Server and Workstation Operating Systems: A Critical Component of Your Network Security Strategy
- Session 3: Mobile Security Blunders and What You Can Do About Them
Track 2: Data Protection and DLP—Compliance and Technology Update
Data is the closest thing an organization has to a set of virtual crown jewels; it is comprised of the intellectual property, customer records, and transactions that generate long-term value. But unlike jewels locked in a vault, data must be used constantly to retain and increase that value. This track details the unique risks associated with data and the specific steps you must take to ensure its security. Receive ste- by-step instructions around building a security program that will monitor, control, and ultimately protect your data, in all its forms, throughout its life cycle.
