Virtualization technologies have the potential to help IT professionals bring new order to the long-standing chaos of enterprise desktop management. But what does desktop virtualization really mean? More importantly, how can your IT organization leverage it to deal with the unrelenting daily demands of provisioning, administering, securing and supporting hundreds and thousands of corporate desktops? This seminar parses the current state of desktop virtualization, application virtualization and streaming, and the evolution of thin client computing, and offers road maps for IT managers developing strategies for the future.

Your morning starts out with breakfast and the day's agenda includes time for Q&A, networking opportunities and tons of valuable information. And benefit from these key sessions:
Even though the desktop virtualization market is full of hype, there are still companies out there successfully making use of the technologies. In this opening session, Brian Madden will take his always vendor-independent approach to discuss where the desktop virtualization market really is today. He'll sort out what's real and what's hype and frame the conversation for the rest of the day.
The term "desktop virtualization" means different things to different people. Brian will dig into all of the various technologies, including VDI, Terminal Server, Remote Desktop, Application Virtualization, Client Hypervisors, OS Disk Streaming, and more to understand how they fit together. He'll also look at what’s realistic and help you understand what you actually need to look at today.
Most companies are starting to plan their Windows 7 migrations, and that's a perfect time to start thinking about desktop virtualization (even if you aren't planning on acting on it right away). The reality is that everyone has some type of desktop virtualization somewhere in their company (Citrix, Terminal Server, etc.). In this third and final session, Brian will look at what you can do now to start getting ready for desktop virtualization. He'll look at how you can frame your planning around Windows 7 so you don’t get in trouble a few years down the road. He'll look at the "little" things you can do now to get ready.
Don't miss out! Attendance is free but limited to a select group of qualified IT professionals. Reserve your seat online today or by calling Annabelle Bozin at 617-431-9700.
