    Leyva is the co-author of the HIPAA Survival Guide and publishes the HITECH / HIPAA Compliance Newsletter. He's also a licensed attorney in Florida. He had broad experience in the technology industry before practicing law, including at the intersection of technology and regulatory compliance. He writes about law, business, health care, technology and other topics at Law Tech TV.

    • Selecting when and where to encrypt (data in transit, data at rest)

    • What data can’t be encrypted and how to protect it
