"Best security seminar I have attended"
-- Ted Rizzi, The Pittsburg Post-Gazette
Protecting your network from external attacks and viruses is important, but it's not enough to keep your organization secure. Sophisticated hackers, organized cyber-criminals and rogue insiders have increased the risks to proprietary data and intellectual property. Despite having a variety of security tools in place, your organization may remain vulnerable to data breaches and information leakage.
As if that weren't enough, you also have to think more strategically about security, with a specific focus on GRC--governance, risk and compliance. None of us wants to fall prey to identity theft and data loss like those who made headlines last year -- and it's up to you to face the responsibility of determining where your organization is most at risk.
At This Seminar, You'll Learn:
At this free, half-day seminar, Don Ulsch and G. Mark Hardy reveal the essential policies, practices and advanced technologies to help you create an intelligent, "agile" security architecture. We'll discuss how today's approaches to security may leave you wide open, and how to improve your data security policies and tactics. The morning sessions tackle key topics such as:
- Top policies for layering security controls
- Safeguarding intellectual property and preventing identity theft
- Security protection and where your business falls short
- Risks that current IT security architectures do not protect against
- Divide and conquer: How to detect, assess and prevent threats at the packet, session, application and file level
- How to effectively manage your security appliances, security software and network as one continuous "system"
- Pros and cons of deploying bundled vs. stand alone solutions
- Practical layered security strategy that addresses the current needs of governance, risk and compliance
- Security beyond the perimeter: extending security policy and protection to the mobile and remote-office infrastructure
