"This is one of the most useful and informative seminars I have been to in a long time. Thank you!" - Systems Admin, Pate Engineers, Inc.

Take virtualization out of the lab and into production servers, disaster recovery scenarios and desktops with help from the experts!

Most IT pros today are familiar with virtualization and virtual machines, and may even have deployed a few in a test environment.  While moving virtualization into production and extending its uses can yield significant benefits, these moves require thoughtful planning and execution.

At this free half-day seminar, attendees will hear from independent industry expert, Nelson Ruest, as he describes a 5-step best practices approach to executing viable virtualization projects and how to:

  • Consolidate Through Virtualization: The impact virtualization has on servers and the desktop
  • Structure the Virtualized Data Center: Required hardware, storage structures and how to build on multiple virtual layers (server, desktop, application and more)
  • Move to a Dynamic Organization: Going from P2V, the cost of virtualization and potential ROI

At this seminar you'll learn:

Deploying virtualization without careful consideration to the initial project and ongoing management requirements can jeopardize a virtual environment’s success.  Mr. Ruest, who has worked with dozens of organizations on their virtualization projects, will detail proven best practices that pave your way to realizing virtualization benefits.

Step One: Discover your infrastructure

Step Two: Rely on virtualization and virtualize more than the operating system

Step Three: Maximize hardware utilization

Step Four: Design proper virtualization architectures

Step Five: Update your management strategies

In addition, Mr. Ruest will arm attendees with specific action items that they can use TODAY to:

  • Justify the IT benefits of virtualization and its additional applications to senior management
  • Move from simply testing virtualization to actual production within the organization
  • Expand the use of virtualization from just servers to desktops and disaster recovery

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with a panel of experts to get their questions answered about server, architecture and storage setups for virtual machine platforms.

Also at this seminar:

CDW solutions engineers will examine real world virtualization case studies. They'll also discuss server optimization solutions that reclaim real estate, reduce operating expenses, simplify management and improve availability.

During an interactive panel discussion, grill the experts on your particular situation and also learn how your peers have achieved the benefits of virtualization.

Don't miss out! Attendance is free but limited to a select group of qualified professionals. Reserve your seat online today or by calling Amanda Lamb at 508-621-5574.
